This spring, young writers from across Birmingham will write snail mail postcards to the people of Qeqertarsuaq, an island off the coast of Greenland also known as Disko Island. We hope this will be the beginning of an ongoing conversation between our landlocked city and a large rocky island in the Arctic Circle. Come to your local branch of the Birmingham Public Library and write a letter to Disko Island!
